Lie Down and Listen Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before purchasing a ticket for a Lie Down and Listen event. By completing a ticket purchase you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Us

Lie Down and Listen is a sound healing and classical concert events business operating across England, Scotland, Ireland and the United States. Our events combine Tibetan bowl sound healing with lying down classical concert experiences in carefully chosen venues.

2. Ticket Purchases

  • Tickets are sold subject to availability. We reserve the right to limit the number of tickets sold per person or household.

  • All ticket prices are displayed inclusive of any applicable booking fee at the point of purchase.

  • Once your ticket purchase is confirmed you will receive a booking confirmation email containing your QR code ticket. Please check your spam folder if this does not arrive within 30 minutes of purchase.

  • Tickets are personal to the named purchaser. We reserve the right to refuse entry if we have reason to believe a ticket has been resold or transferred without our permission.

  • We do not accept responsibility for tickets lost, stolen or damaged after delivery.

  • By purchasing a ticket you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation by you

  • Tickets are non-refundable unless an event is cancelled or significantly changed by us.

  • If you are unable to attend an event, you may transfer your ticket to another person, you do not need to contact us to let us know.

  • We are unable to offer refunds or transfers for cancellations made less than 14 days before an event.

 

Cancellation or significant changes by us

  • In the event that we need to cancel an event, all ticket holders will be notified by email and offered a full refund or the option to transfer their ticket to a rescheduled date if one is available.

  • If an event is moved to a significantly different venue or materially changed and you are unable to attend as a result, please contact us and we will offer a full refund.

  • We reserve the right to make changes to the programme, performers or venue where necessary. Minor changes do not constitute grounds for a refund.

  • In exceptional circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather, venue closure, performer illness or public health emergencies, we will endeavour to reschedule events and offer ticket holders the option to transfer or receive a credit. Refunds in such circumstances will be at our discretion.

4. Attending Our Events

  • Please arrive at the venue at least 5 minutes before the stated event start time. We may not be able to admit latecomers once the session has begun as entry during the experience may disturb other attendees.

  • Our events involve lying down for extended periods on provided mats. Please wear comfortable, warm clothing. We recommend bringing an extra layer as body temperature can drop during a lying down experience.

  • Mobile phones and electronic devices must be switched to silent or turned off for the duration of the event. Photography and recording during the session are not permitted out of respect for other attendees and performers.

  • We reserve the right to refuse entry to or remove from an event any person whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe or otherwise inappropriate. No refund will be offered in such circumstances.

  • Food and alcohol are not permitted at our events unless specifically stated for a particular event.

5. Accessibility

We are committed to making our events as accessible as possible. Venue accessibility varies depending on the location. If you have accessibility requirements, mobility considerations or any other needs that may affect your experience, please contact us at info@liedownandlisten.com before purchasing your ticket so we can advise on the suitability of the specific venue and make any necessary arrangements.

6. Health and Wellbeing

  • Our events involve extended periods of lying down and exposure to sound including Tibetan singing bowls at various frequencies. If you have any medical conditions that you believe may be affected by sound healing, including but not limited to epilepsy, tinnitus, severe anxiety or sound sensitivity, please consult a medical professional before attending.

  • Lie Down and Listen events are a complementary wellness experience and are not a substitute for medical treatment. We make no medical claims about the benefits of our events.

  • If you feel unwell at any point during an event, please alert a member of our team immediately.

  • Pregnant women are welcome to attend but should seek medical advice first and inform us at the time of booking so we can ensure their comfort.

  • By purchasing a ticket you confirm that you are aware of the nature of the experience and are satisfied that it is suitable for you.

​7. Gift Cards

  • Gift cards purchased through our website are valid for use against any Lie Down and Listen event ticket.

  • Gift cards have no expiry date unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.

  • Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced.

8. Shop and Physical Products

  • Products purchased through the Lie Down and Listen shop are subject to standard UK consumer rights legislation.

  • Delivery times are estimates only and we cannot guarantee delivery by a specific date.

  • If a product arrives damaged or faulty please contact us at info@liedownandlisten.com within 14 days of receipt.

  • You have the right to return unused physical products within 14 days of receipt in accordance with UK consumer law. Please contact us before returning any item.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and associated materials, including text, images, logos, event recordings and branding, is the property of Lie Down and Listen Ltd and may not be reproduced, distributed or used without our prior written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • We take all reasonable steps to ensure our events run safely and as described. However, we cannot accept liability for any loss, injury or damage suffered by attendees at our events, except where this arises from our negligence or breach of statutory duty.

  • We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from a cancelled or changed event, including travel costs, accommodation costs or loss of earnings. We strongly recommend that attendees take out appropriate travel insurance if travelling significant distances to attend an event.

  • Our total liability to you in connection with any event shall not exceed the total price paid for your ticket.

  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Privacy and Data

12. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will take effect immediately upon posting on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of our website or purchase of tickets after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
