“Utterly blissed out"
– The Financial Times
For the first time, Lie Down and Listen is coming to Cambridge in the natural light filled space at Storey’s Field Centre - recognized for it’s architectural design as it was an RIBA Stirling Prize short list building. You’ll be welcomed into the joyful and expansive space to lie down on luxurious soft mattresses as you receive the blissful vibrations of Tibetan Bowl sound healing.
You won’t just hear the music, you’ll feel it.

What to expect
Pianist and founder Christina will guide you through a full body deep relaxation, followed by a deep Tibetan bowl sound healing.
The heart of this experience is the powerful and epic piece of music Chaconne by Bach - this version transcribed from violin to piano by Italian composer and pianist Busoni. This is a profound piece of music that builds from a single idea transporting the listener into powerful states of joy, magnificence, tenderness and many shades.
This is truly beautiful and powerful music by J.S Bach alongside Christina’s own compositions and music by Max Richter.
You'll leave you feeling inspired, uplifted and reconnected to your inner power.

Founder and Classical Pianist Christina McMaster noticed that it wasn't only the rituals of classical music concert halls that led to a disconnected listening experience, but in daily life, we are experiencing more disconnection than ever, leading to loneliness, anxiety, stress, sense of emptiness etc.
Lie down & Listen began after a chance meeting with Prof. Sir John Strang and a series of events at Kings College London to recreate the wellbeing benefits of a hallucinogenic experience without hallucinogenics- but simply using a certain combination of music in a lying down concert experience as they did in the 1960’s in downtown New York loft apartments where music of Philip Glass, Terry Riley, Steve Reich - also known as the New York Hypnotic School.
After training in sound healing, Christina then evolved the meditation, sound healing and lying down concert experience of today which creates space for deep relaxation and for listeners to reconnect within.
