Lie Down & Listen: Metamorphosis

London based pianist and founder of Lie Down and Listen Christina McMaster is bringing the deeply relaxing Metamorphosis sound healing and lying down classical concert experience to Charleston, South Carolina this September.

As you enter the Rotunda within the Gibbes Museum a sense of awe of the surrounding beauty may wash over you before you are gently guided to your place on soft mattresses, cushions, and blankets.

From here, Christina McMaster guides you into deep relaxation and deep listening, allowing you to feel the pure and resonant vibrations of Tibetan bowl sound healing followed by live classical music and emotional resonances and rhythms of live classical piano.

The concert experience has previously partnered with unique heritage buildings across the UK and Ireland, including at Highgrove His Majesty The King’s Gloucestershire Residence, The Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College, and the historic Trinity College in Dublin.
The locations themselves are as much part of the experience, offering guests the opportunity to truly dwell and experience a feeling of awe in historical places

You won’t just hear the music, you’ll feel it.
When you attend a Lie Down and Listen session, you open yourself up to receiving inner peace, freedom and light.

What to expect:
Experience a sense of pure peace and possibility as you surrender to the sound. Christina will guide you into a deep, relaxed state using the soothing vibrations of Tibetan and crystal bowls alongside the powerful, deep resonances of the live piano.

The heart of this experience is a journey through subtle shifts and deep personal transformation. Christina will perform American composer Philip Glass's Metamorphosis, a powerful, hypnotic, and inspiring five movement work. Alongside her own evocative compositions, this beautiful music is designed for you to feel through your entire being, taking you on a profound emotional journey.

Christina has designed this multi sensory experience to break down traditional concert barriers, providing a sanctuary for guests to quiet the mind, release stress, and connect with their inner creativity. Under her guidance, you will surrender into the spiritual realm of sound, leaving you feeling rested, connected, and completely revitalized.
