Lie Down & Listen: Resonance of the Heart
For the first time, Lie Down & Listen will be sharing it’s experience in the historic surroundings of Lulworth castle, with ‘Resonance of the heart’
You’ll be guided into a state of deep relaxation by singer and sound healer Catarina Carvalho with soothing sounds of Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls and her angelic voice sharing ancient songs.
As you lie on soft mattresses, you’ll feel the vibrations of guitar music played by the exceptionally talented Maryna Vosmirova, graduate of the Royal Academy of Music playing music by Erik Satie, Bach and music inspired by Under Milk Wood.
You'll leave uplifted and you may feel your heart resonating with the frequencies of love, we can’t wait to welcome you to this very special experience at Lulworth Castle.
The concert experience has previously partnered with unique heritage buildings across the UK and Ireland, including at Highgrove His Majesty The King’s Gloucestershire Residence, The Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College, and the historic Trinity College in Dublin.
The locations themselves are as much part of the experience, offering guests the opportunity to truly dwell and experience a feeling of awe in historical places

What to expect:
Experience a sense of pure peace and possibility as you surrender to the sound. Catarina will guide you into a deep, relaxed state using the soothing vibrations of Tibetan and crystal bowls alongside the powerful, deep resonances of the live guitar.
The heart of this experience is the mesmerizing sounds of classical guitar played by the exceptionally talented Maryna Vosmirova, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music. As you lie back on soft mattresses, you will feel the physical vibrations and emotive journeys of music by Bach, Erik Satie, and evocative pieces inspired by Dylan Thomas's Under Milk Wood.
This is a deeply immersive musical journey through states of serenity, warmth, and reflection that you will feel through your entire being.
Lie Down and Listen has designed this multi sensory experience to break down traditional concert barriers providing a sanctuary for guests to quiet the mind, release stress, and connect with their inner heart. Under Catarina's guidance, you will surrender into the spiritual realm of sound, you'll leave uplifted and you may feel your heart resonating with the frequencies of love.
Meet Your Host: Catarina Carvalho
Catarina is a classical singer and sound artist with a strong passion for embodied sound.
Catarina’s journey with her voice whilst studying opera led her to yoga and she has specialised in using sound and voice to encourage people to feel, embrace and process all emotions that arise with no judgement; to be present and accept themselves as they are.
Adding to her work in yoga studios and schools, Catarina also runs community choirs and singing groups for people living with dementia.
Catarina creates an extremely empowering space, aiming to build practitioners’ confidence in themselves by listening to their physical, mental and emotional bodies. She strongly believes that music and sound are universal languages and they have the power to bring us back to ourselves, but also to connect with each other, empowering communities and society.
Meet Guitarist Maryna Vosmirova
Maryna Vosmirova is a classical guitarist, composer, and arranger from Sumy, Ukraine. She studied at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London and was selected for the Young Artist Platform by the International Guitar Foundation.
Maryna has appeared as a soloist at international festivals, including a performance alongside Lorenzo Micheli at the Sassari Guitar Festival in Sardinia. She has also participated in masterclasses with renowned guitarists such as Francisco Bernier, Giulio Tampalini, Paolo Pegoraro, and Sean Shibe.
Known for her versatility and creative programming, Maryna is a passionate chamber musician whose work spans a wide range of repertoire, blending classical traditions with innovative arrangements.
She is an extraordinarily talented performer with the ability to captivate audiences through her rich musicianship and expressive playing.
