“Such a beautiful and unique experience in an amazing space”
– Lie Down and Listen attendee
You're welcomed to experience Lie Down and Listen in Lambourn, West Berkshire at this beautiful space made of natural wood. Set amongst the stunning hills of the North Wessex Downs, you'll feel your central nervous system unwinding as you arrive into the area of natural beauty.
You'll be guided through deep relaxation, Tibetan bowl sound healing and a live lying down classical concert experience with Catarina Carvalho and leading cellist Naomi Watts.
As you lie down on soft mattresses, cushions and blankets, you'll receive the powerful healing vibrations of the deep C string on the cello filling the space, along with deep gong and Tibetan bowl vibrations.
In your state of deep relaxation, you'll then be carried by joyful and dance music by Bach and hypnotic, trance inducing looping pieces by Naomi to gently guide you into a deep calm and restorative state.

Meet Your Host: Catarina Carvalho
Classical pianist, sound healer and founder of
Lie Down and Listen

Catarina is a classical singer and sound artist with a strong passion for embodied sound.
Catarina’s journey with her voice whilst studying opera led her to yoga and she has specialised in using sound and voice to encourage people to feel, embrace and process all emotions that arise with no judgement; to be present and accept themselves as they are.
Adding to her work in yoga studios and schools, Catarina also runs community choirs and singing groups for people living with dementia.
Catarina creates an extremely empowering space, aiming to build practitioners’ confidence in themselves by listening to their physical, mental and emotional bodies. She strongly believes that music and sound are universal languages and they have the power to bring us back to ourselves, but also to connect with each other, empowering communities and society.
Meet Naomi Watts

Naomi is a member of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and principal cello of the Caversham Ensemble.
She has performed as a soloist with the City of Oxford Orchestra and the Caversham Ensemble and participated in Chamber Music festivals in Sweden, Switzerland, France, IMS Prussia Cove and has performed at the Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall.
She plays with the London Chamber Orchestra, and the London Contemporary Orchestra and as a member of the RPO, has performed all over the world from New York’s Carnegie Hall to London’s Royal Albert Hall, and with artists from Martha Argerich to Diana Ross.

Naomi is a big advocate for music having a powerful healing capacity and has loved taking part in workshops for stroke recovery, depression, dementia and playing the cello in ‘sound healing’ sessions. As a British Wheel of Yoga accredited Yoga teacher, she enjoys helping musicians care for their bodies. She has recently returned from Norway where she has been playing with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and the Arctic Chamber Orchestra in Tromsø.

"Powerful healing experience. Body tingling all over with energy moving and incredible feeling of lightness"
"Total immersion and resonance"
"I felt so relaxed and was made aware of a lot going on in my body and space"
"Blessed to share these moments with people who love and let love in"
The sound bath element cleared so much from my mind. I felt connected at that point on a different level - it was other worldly"
