As you enter the cathedral, the beauty and stillness of the space surrounds you. A sense of awe may wash over you before you are gently guided to your place on soft mattresses, cushions and

blankets.

From here, Christina guides you into deep relaxation and deep listening, allowing you to feel the pure and resonant vibrations of Tibetan bowl sound healing followed by live classical music.

emotional sound of live classical piano.

You won’t just hear the music, you’ll feel it.

An experience of 'Metamorphosis'

At the heart of the experience is Philip Glass’s Metamorphosis — the transformative five-

movement work. Hypnotic and deeply moving, the music captures a life experience, with the inner movements generating energetic and rhythmic drive, passion and at times relentlessness, before settling into the stillness and reflective state of the fifth and final movement.

You’ll leave feeling rested, connected and perhaps even transformed.

Founder and Classical Pianist Christina McMaster noticed that it wasn't only the rituals of classical music concert halls that led to a disconnected listening experience, but in daily life, we are experiencing more disconnection than ever, leading to loneliness, anxiety, stress, sense of emptiness etc.

Lie down & Listen began after a chance meeting with Prof. Sir John Strang and a series of events at Kings College London to recreate the wellbeing benefits of a hallucinogenic experience without hallucinogenics- but simply using a certain combination of music in a lying down concert experience as they did in the 1960’s in downtown New York loft apartments where music of Philip Glass, Terry Riley, Steve Reich - also known as the New York Hypnotic School.

After training in sound healing, Christina then evolved the meditation, sound healing and lying down concert experience of today which creates space for deep relaxation and for listeners to reconnect within.

The sound bath element cleared so much from my mind. I felt connected at that point on a different level - it was other worldly"
